Girls - What do you think of mineral powder makeup?

Does it give you the same coverage at the liquid foundations?

Does the bronzer look fake?

Is the blush as dark as it looks in the container?

Any other imput would be helpful. I dont wanna waste the $$ on it if it really isnt all it's hyped up to be.Girls - What do you think of mineral powder makeup?
I find every brand is different - but I do really like it. I get medium coverage w/blender brush. I think a kabuki would give even more coverage.

Not using any bronzer.

The blush is not as dark - I tap the brush, then apply blush light. I build it up when I want more color.

See if you can try some in the store - or samples from some companies online. I tried it in Sephora - found a good color match for me.

(I have combo skin, pale)Girls - What do you think of mineral powder makeup?
well,if ur going for the fake look,i think, mineral powder is not as good, cuz it looks more natural

the bronzer looks natrul 2 me

thats y i like it thet look natural

its not QUITE as dark but pretty close

i like it better, but most of the time u need a liitle more
I get better coverage with my mineral makeup. I just keep layering it until I get it right. By using mineral makeup and not liquid I am not clogging my pores.

I absolutely love my bronzer from kms mineral essentials. Everyone always asks if I just got back from vacation! The blush does not go on as dark as it looks. Mineral pigments act differently on your skin than traditional makeup. It will last you a lot longer than regular blush though and that is a plus.

I would say it is worth a try! I am so glad I tried it.
i have combo skin i get pimples occasionally and ih ave acne scars i bought bare natural from loreal I HATE IT dose not cover it was just they're didn't help at all waste of 12 dollars
I love the mineral makeup. I have used it about 7 years now. It is very natural looking and is better for my skin. My skin is oily so when I used the liquid it would run off from the oil. I use Bare Essentials. I don't know if you have one in your area but if you do go there and they will tell you what color is best for you and they will do your makeup for free.
avon has one that i have used and it works really good, that one is more everyday its not a 3 step one like bare essentials. the coverage is really well, but i guess it also depends on your skin.. also i use bare essentials and i love it, the only thing with this one is that its a 3 step one, but its worth it. go to sephora and try it or nordstrom carries it try it before you buy it.
I use bare minerals and love it!!! I just use the powder.... I dont care much for the blushes or eye wear
It really depends on the brand. I've tried many of them and only liked maybe 3. Bare Escentuals was way too shiny. Philosophy Airbrushed Canvas broke me out. Physician's Formula was okay, but I couldn't find the right color. I LOVE Aromaleigh for their color range (aromaleigh.com...they have samples so you can try it out!). Right now I'm using Mary Kay's version and I'm really liking that too, even though its not as 'all-natural' as the others. Most offer sheer/medium coverage depending on the amount of product you use. As for the bronzers and the blushes, they do look pretty dark in the containers, but the key is to use a tiny amount and work it into the bristles of your brush. Hope this helps you!
I used to absolutely love it. I happen to use the brand Bare Minerals (BE), because the granules are sifted smaller than the cheaper brands. However, I am now 33 and I have been using mineral make-up for about 7 years. As I have aged I have noticed tiny lines seem to appear as the day goes on. So, I am now putting a little liquid clear primer in my hand then pouring a little of the mineral power foundation on top and mixing it with my finger. I have been doing this for about 3 weeks now. It seems to look a whole lot smoother and my tiny lines are filled in.
I absolutely love my mineral foundation. I'm using Pur Minerals and it really works wonders for me! It doesn't look caked on like liquid foundations.

I have some bronzer, but haven't used it yet. Go to the store and try some on, see for yourself.

No, the blush isn't as dark as it looks. It's perfect. It's light, so it looks natural like you're naturally that beautiful. Not cakey and obvious that you have blush on.

You are definatley NOT wasting your money.
mineral powder is just a fancy way of saying ';dirt';, you would save money by just putting colored dirt on your face. in the 70's there used to be a product called ';indian earth';, it was just colored dirt.-blurey
I love mineral makeup. Sometimes I need extra coverage then I will use a light base of matte liquid makeup under it.

I use Aromaleigh mineral makeup from Aromaleigh.com

I have used a couple of blushes from them and they seemed pretty true to the color represented on the website.

I just started out with a very small amount of product and added more if I needed to.

No experience with bronzers though, sorry.

They have a few foundation types in tons of colors to choose from, plus a concealer , which I also sometimes use all over for my foundation, which works great when I need more coverage. They have a full line of makeup and skin care and I what I have bought I like a lot and really last a long , long time. I don't like the sheen Bare Minerals gave my skin, and Aromaleigh has one foundation that has it , and one that doesn't. Also, you can buy samples, and with any order they give you samples of something included with your purchase. No, I don't work for them , I just like the products they make and variety offered. If the price seems high at first look, I know I still have plenty of an eyeshadow I bought well over 2 yrs ago, which I think is a good value!

Hope this helps!
I have oily skin and acne scars so I decided to try the BareMinerals starter kit. I LOVE the brushes. But the foundation didn't seem to be all the hype. It covered ';okay'; but not my acne scars... I prefer liquid because of that. But I fell in LOVE with the bronzer. You have to be careful when applying it though, all you need it just a little specs and it will brighten up your whole face!
I personally do not like it. I have tried different brands and really its just not my thing. To each there own. As far as the bronzer I never tried it but it looks nice on others. You should buy a little kit and see if you like it before buying the bronzer and all tho. You wouldnt want to waste more money if you too dont like it.
Honestly I dont like the over all results of the mineral make up. It looks and feels great when first applied. Few hours later it starts to cake up or disappear from the skin and easily wipes off too. Its called mineral since it doesnt have any oils or wax in it like the liquid foundation. So basically you are putting raw pigment on your face but nothing to keep it there or for the hold. I would suggest something with highly pigmented and longer lasting so you wouldnt have to touch up during the day.

Hope I helped... good luck!

Tip: Mac or Joe Blasco gives great coverage if used the right way. Specially if you a fan of the flawless look without looking like you got tons of make up on.
It does give the same coverage, often better. Its lighter weight, and cleaner. Give it a try, see what you think. :)
I LOVE mineral makeup, especially kms mineral essentials. Mineral makeup is not all alike. I think I found the best.
I really like Bare Minerals...

I have always used mac and stila foundations and i really like the Bare Minerals much better. I feel like it makes me glow. it gives good coverage but doesnt look cakey... I really like it!!! Some of the bronzer is dark but you can always just use a darker foundation as bronzer. I use warmth and really like it, i also use light as my foundation and very light as concealor. Just make sure you put it on in little circles with your brush to get full coverage. I love it!!! I think it is soooo worth the cost.
