they have a very even coverage and dont look cakey and feel lighter on your skin then most foundations i got my mineral power foundation for 15$ and my sister gave me the powder so im not sure how much it cost but it wouldnt be very expensive.. and they both last ages and are heaps better for your skin then most foundations..

Try Aromaleigh.com, I recently discovered them and I now swear by it. It's inexpensive, works well, and you can order samples as well (the samples look small but they actually contain quite a bit of product!)
