I used to have the SAME problem.. it's cause we have like combination skin.. so the liquid just makes us too oily, and the powder just doesn't work haha..

I started using Lauren Hutton's Aqua Elements.. it's a mineral based type of foundation.. you can see it here: http://www.laurenhutton.com/aqua-element鈥?/a>

I absolutely love it! It's the perfect foundation for your skin type.. and there are several shades to choose from, so that you can have the best match for your skin tone.

Hope this is helpful.Makeup- Whats the difference between liquid and powder foundation?
Well, the name really explains itself. Liquid is usually a water based formula or some other liquid whereas powder is a powder based formula. I would say you should get a makeup primer to mix in with your liquid foundation. Make sure you are using a good moisturizer. I like Cetaphil because it is gentle and although it looks heavy it isn't greasy at all.
I'm pretty sure they have non oily liquid foundation. If thats what you want to use, then do some research on it and find some good ones.

MAC has them. You should try it out.

All powder foundations make you look kinda' cakey. Using a brush instead of the sponge that comes with it will help it looking less flakey.
liquid foundation seeps into your pores. get bare minerals. i used to say the same about powder foundation until i switched to BM and i am sold i will never stop using it. it's the best foundation EVERRRR covers every single flaw and makes my skin glow. i love it!
i use a tinted moisturizer to sort of prime my skin, and then i use a coverage powder over it.

i use Stila Tinted Moisturizer and Estee Lauder Double Wear Powder
the use a mixture of both! lolz thats what i do=]

the liquid is suppose to have the dewy effect, and the powder is just powder.

Sammy
They give you different coverage.
